Temperatures this week are on a bit of a roller coaster with anticipated storm systems bringing a couple fronts along the way. On Friday, temperatures in the mid 50s with partly cloudy skies are expected to continue through early Saturday morning. Expect lows in the mid-40s. A warm front in the early hours may bring short sprinkles of rainfall. No more than a quarter inch of rain is possible in this event.
On Saturday, temperatures will shoot up to the mid-70s with a slight decrease in clouds, with returning rain chances in the afternoon carrying through overnight into Sunday. Saturday’s low will be in the mild lower 60s. On Sunday, highs in the upper 60s will decrease with the arrival of a cold front, bringing thunderstorms and widespread heavy rain in the evening hours and overnight. With lows in the mid 40s, rainfall amounts between 1-2 inches are possible; three inches may be possible in heavier thunderstorms. Local flooding may occur.
Rain showers should clear out my Monday afternoon, leading to a drier rest of the week between the mid 40s and lower 50s. Lows in the lower 30s and upper 20s are expected through Thursday.
