A small chance of precipitation is expected all day Friday, as a cold front sweeping across the state brings snow flurries north of the I-70 corridor. A mix of snow and rain, or just rain, is also possible further south. Precipitation is expected to depart late Friday to the southeast, with estimates of up to half an inch.
In the wake of the cold front, temperatures will dip from the 40s on Friday afternoon into the mid-to-upper teens in the evening. On Saturday, highs may not exceed 30 degrees but with a more stable atmosphere, sunny skies are expected with stronger northwest winds up to 25 mph in gusts.
Beginning Sunday, temperatures will rise significantly, with highs in the lower-50s, up to 60 on Monday, and peaking in the low 70s on Thursday--roughly 20 degrees above the normal March temperatures for Indiana. Lows rising from the mid-30s on Sunday night will rise to the upper-40s by Wednesday night.
Tame weather is to be expected for most of next week, with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies through Thursday. Model predictions for further in the week indicate chances for another precipitation event sometime between Thursday evening and early Saturday morning with estimates of up to an inch.
