Monroe County reports 3 new COVID-19 cases

Monroe County

Monroe County reported three new  COVID-19 cases Monday, down from 10 Friday. In total, 27,505 county residents have tested positive since the pandemic began.

No new deaths were reported. The county’s seven-day positivity rate is now 3 percent.

In District 8, which includes Monroe, Brown, and Bartholomew counties, hospitalizations dropped from 21 COVID-19 patients Sunday to 17 patients Monday. 

Indiana 

The state confirmed 137 new COVID-19 cases Monday, down from 320 Friday. The new cases were reported to the Indiana Department of Health between March 8-13. In total, 1,687,268 Hoosiers have tested positive since the pandemic began. 

The state reported no new deaths. In total, 22,271 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19. The state’s seven-day positivity rate is now 2.9 percent. 

Across Indiana, hospitalizations dropped from 485 COVID-19 patients Sunday to 467 patients Monday.
