Indiana is one of six states in which children involved in welfare cases are not guaranteed legal representation. A bill to remedy that failed at the statehouse this year, but its author vows to try again. 

Staffing agencies offer fed up nursing home workers a way to remain in the profession but with better hours and higher pay. Nation-wide, more than one in four nursing homes are facing worker shortages.

And, a new report by the Environmental Integrity Project says Indiana has the most polluted rivers and streams in the nation.
