Bloomington man arrested in Kalao nightclub shooting out on bond

A Bloomington man arrested in connection with the shooting at the Kalao nightclub over Little 500 weekend is out on bond.

Keiantrea Washington was released on a cash bond of $500 on Wednesday. The 27-year-old has requested a jury trial. His initial hearing in the case is scheduled for Monday.

Washington was arrested on multiple felony charges Monday afternoon, a little more than a week after he was identified by Bloomington police in surveillance video as the shooter in an incident at the nightclub around 1 a.m. on April 23.

Washington was remanded on felony charges of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated battery and one count of criminal recklessness.

Three men – ages 41, 26, and 22 - suffered gunshot wounds in the shooting. All three were treated at IU Health Bloomington.
