Indiana Planned Parenthood: 'We will keep fighting with everything we’ve got'

Indiana abortion providers and civil rights advocates will rally at the statehouse Saturday beginning at 11 a.m., protesting the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson’s Women’s Health Organization.

The decision Friday overturns a nearly 50-year precedent of Roe v. Wade, leaving legalization of abortion up to states.

The rally is organized by Planned Parenthood Indiana, the Indiana ACLU, and Women4Change.

Indiana legislators could act at anytime to ban abortion in our state – but we have the power to fight back. ⚠️ Join us at the Statehouse TOMORROW at 11am for an emergency rally to demand lawmakers and Governor Holcomb keep abortion safe, legal, and accessible in Indiana. ? pic.twitter.com/VdEahy859l — ACLU of Indiana (@ACLUIndiana) June 24, 2022

Planned Parenthood said in a statement that the decision would affect vulnerable populations most.

“We will keep fighting with everything we’ve got to ensure that everyone can access the care you need to control your body and your life," Rebecca Gibron, CEO of Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai‘i, Indiana, Kentucky, said. "I want to be clear: Planned Parenthood will always be here to help you get the care you need.”
