Area law enforcement and state conservation officers today located an Indianapolis man who went missing yesterday in Lake Monroe.

34-year-old David Alejendor Mora-Segura was boating with friends when he disappeared under the water around 2 p.m. Sunday, according to an Indiana Department of Natural Resources news release.

Conservation officers initiated a search yesterday, which was suspended overnight and resumed this morning. Mora-Segura was found this afternoon in about 20 feet of water. The IDEM news release states Mora-Segura was initially wearing a personal flotation device when he went into the lake but slipped out of it.

Multiple state agencies were involved in the search, including the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department Dive Team.
