Brown County teen offers plea agreement in connection with the death of another teen

A 17-year-old from Brown County offered a plea agreement in connection to the death of another teenager.

Luke A. Robertson plead guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges, with sentencing set for June 13.

Robertson was waived to adult court last July. Indiana state law allows juvenile charges to be waived to adult court when certain conditions are met. The statute specifically mentions reckless homicide and involuntary manslaughter as charges that could prompt a move to adult court.

The victim was 17-year-old Ayden Lentz. His aunt said he was a teen with a big heart and was always willing to help someone else.

“If somebody was having just a bad day he was always there, you know, just to kind of pick them up, cheer them up,” his aunt, Amber Stephens said.

Stephens said Ayden would have been a senior at Brown County High School starting in the fall of 2022.

According to the Brown County Coroner, Lentz was killed by a gunshot wound to the face. His death is listed as a homicide.
