Bloomington police are investigating a shooting Thursday night on Bloomington’s north side.

Several 9-1-1 calls about 10:20 p.m. reported a shooting in the 1200 block of North Maple Street and the 700 block of West 17 th Street. One caller said she had entered a business establishment on 17 th street after being shot.

Officers found a 45-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds shortly after. The woman was taken to a local hospital where she told investigators she was shot in her car as she was backing out of a driveway on North Maple. She says a person wearing a face-covering got out of a vehicle parked behind hers and began shooting.
