State police said they’ve arrested a Columbus man on child exploitation charges after a nearly year long investigation.
Police said they arrested 29-year-old Joshua Johnson Monday.
He’s being held at the Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of Child Exploitation-Dissemination of Child Pornography, Level 5 Felony and Child Exploitation-Possession of Child Pornography, Level 6 Felony.

Police said the investigation is ongoing. The date for Johnson’s initial hearing hasn’t been set. He could face additional charges.
Police launched the investigation into Johnson in August 2022 after getting a tip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited children.
