Indiana looking for feedback on climate funding

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is conducting a survey on how its funds can be used to improve air quality.

According to a press release, the state received $3 million from the EPA to conduct a greenhouse gas emissions study and develop a climate action plan.

The state could receive another grant next year “for a portion of the $4.6 billion available to implement strategies reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other harmful air pollutants."

The grant programs give $5 million to “states, local governments, tribes, and territories to develop and implement ambitious plans for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other harmful air pollution,” the press release stated.

The website includes more information about the grant. The survey is open until Nov. 29.
