Stuff-A-Bus delivers gifts to local families for 24th year

For a 24th year, Bloomington Transit is stuffing a bus with gifts for needy families.

Starting Friday and resuming in December, the annual Stuff-A-Bus gift drive will make its way around local shopping centers.

Bloomington Transit said it takes stuffing the bus literally and wants to fill the bus completely.

Volunteers are collecting new toys, children’s clothes and baby supplies for the Monroe County Department of Child Services.

Each daily stop is listed on Bloomington Transit’s website

Bloomington Transit is also collecting gifts at its headquarters from those who can’t make it to one of the stops. The city said in a press release yesterday that volunteer opportunities are available.
