Eclipse camping reservations for the remaining seven campgrounds at the Hoosier National Forest open Monday. Reservations will be available for March 29 through April 10.

The path of totality will cover most of the forest.

Campgrounds that will be available include Blackwell, Hickory Ridge, Shirley Creek, Youngs Creek, Saddle Lake, Buzzard Roost and German Ridge. Camping fees will be waived for German Ridge and Saddle Lake, and there will be no camping fees for the other five campgrounds.

Reservations for Hardin Ridge, Indian-Celina Lakes and Tipsaw Lake Recreation Areas opened Jan. 12. Some sites on these grounds are still available.

Camp sites must be reserved online or over the phone. There will be no first-come-first-served sites available during the eclipse booking window due to the high amount of visitors coming to view the eclipse. There will be an $8 reservation fee for online bookings, and $9 over the phone.

Campers are encouraged to check amenities online, as each campground is different.

Free, dispersed camping will also be available. More information is available on the Hoosier National Forest website
