Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity has been placed on cease and desist for hazing, effective Feb. 12. The fraternity is the third Greek organization placed on cease and desist this semester.
Six organizations are on cease and desist this semester. Cease and desist is a limitation on aspects of chapter operations because of an immediate threat or ongoing investigation.
Alpha Kappa Psi fraternity was placed on cease and desist Jan. 30, and Beta Sigma Psi fraternity was placed on cease and desist Feb. 5, both for hazing.

Kappa Sigma, Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Kappa Alpha Psi fraternities were all placed on the list in the fall.
Indiana University has an anti-hazing policy in its code of conduct. The university defines hazing as anything that could endanger, abuse, degrade or intimidate someone in a group. Students can report hazing to the Office of Student Conduct.
