Duke Energy’s power outage map said 1,891 customers were affected by a power outage as of 10:30 Monday morning.

The outage was reported along SR 46, affecting businesses, traffic lights and some of the Indiana University campus.

The outage was first reported at 9:48 Monday morning. The outage was caused by an object coming into contact with our power lines, according to Duke.

Duke Energy estimates it will be able to restore power by 12:45 this afternoon.

An 11 a.m. update to the outage map shows that power has been restored to the area.
