INDOT increasing speed limit on I-69 near Bloomington to 65 mph

Drivers taking I-69 through Bloomington will soon be able to go 10 miles per hour faster.

Beginning as soon as Thursday, the Indiana Department of Transportation will increase the speed limit on the stretch of highway between mile markers 112 and 122 from 55 miles per hour to 65 mph.

“The increased speed limit is intended to help enhance safety and mobility by establishing consistency along the corridor,” INDOT said in a press release.

INDOT reminds drivers to slow down and use extra caution while driving through work zones.
