DNR officers and divers recovered a 19-year-old man’s body from the Dubois County area of Patoka Lake Sunday. He’s the second person found this season.
Officers went to the overlook dam area at 1:43 p.m. to find a person going underwater and not resurfacing. Divers recovered the body of Edgar Osbaldo Garcia Herrera at 4:31 p.m., according to a release.
Another man was recovered two weeks ago. Xavier Richardson, 24, from Indianapolis was found near the Painter Creek boat ramp in the Orange County area of the lake.
Conservation officers urge the public to always wear a life jacket when on the water.
