IU's Lilly King is set to race again Monday.

Athletes with ties to Indiana are already bringing home medals after big wins over the weekend, in the early days of the summer 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

As of Sunday night, Team USA was leading with 12 medals. The team has earned three gold medals, six silver medals and three bronze medals so far.

Indiana University's Matt King and Chris Guiliano of Notre Dame won gold medals as their team came in first in the 4x100m freestyle relay swimming event Saturday. Guiliano was among the four competing in the final, while King swam in the heat race earlier in the day.

Sarah Bacon, from Indianapolis, and her diving partner won the silver medal in the women’s springboard 3m synchronized event.

Chloe Dygert, of Brownsburg, came in third in the women’s individual cycling time trial.

Lee Kiefer, a former Notre Dame fencer, won back-to-back gold medals in the women’s individual foil, first on Saturday and again Sunday.

IU swimmer Lilly King won third in the 100-meter breaststroke semifinal.

She’ll swim again Monday in that event’s finals.

Other events featuring Hoosiers start early Monday morning and include the early rounds of sabre and foil fencing, the men’s 800 freestyle swimming heats, and rowing.

Medal rounds in fencing are set for Monday afternoon along with tennis doubles, volleyball, women’s basketball and the men’s 200 freestyle swimming final.
