The Indiana State Police announced they made an additional arrest in the 2012 slaying of Lowell Badger.
Sullivan Superior Court Judge Hugh Hunt issued a warrant for the arrest of 39-year-old Richard D. Taft Tuesday. He is charged with murder and two counts of burglary resulting in bodily injury, a Class A felony.
Taft is currently incarcerated in the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City because of other charges.
The crime is listed as Class A instead of a Level 1 felony because the crime happened before Indiana transitioned to a number system on July 1, 2014.
