Four people critically injured in accident at tractor and truck pull event in Greene County

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a personal injury accident that left four people critically injured Friday night.

The accident happened during Sheid’s Diesel Extravaganza at Wagler Motorsports Park in Lyons, Indiana.

In a press release, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office says a 2007 Jeep Wrangler being used as a pit vehicle was driven out of the truck pull staging area into the crowd. The vehicle struck three people in the crowd, a side by side, a truck rake, and another vehicle before rolling onto its side.

The three pedestrians and the driver were transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The driver has been identified as Jolanda Hargett, 55, from Tennessee. The three other injured have been identified as 31-year old Marlin Zimmerman from Pennsylvania, 33-year-old Jared Weaver from Ohio, and 30-year-old Joey Rank of Tennessee.

The accident is still under investigation.
