Indiana University officials say restoration work continues at Dunn Meadow, and they expect the traditional assembly ground for protests and gatherings to re-open before the semester ends.
Officials could not, however, give an estimated date.
Dunn Meadow was the site of a 100-day pro-Palestinian protest this summer, when the IU Divestment Coalition pitched tents in the meadow. IU called in the State Police at one point to shut down the protest, but it continued.

Ahead of the fall semester, IU closed Dunn Meadow, saying repairs could cost about $100,000. The site is fenced off. New grass appears to be growing well, and a university spokesperson said IU Facilities and Capital Planning “has planted turf and is working to ensure it develops and holds properly.”
