The Bloomington Arts Commission and the Department of Economic and Sustainable development will award ten microgrants for public art projects in Bloomington as a part of its new 2024 Community Art Grant program.

The Community Arts Grants are a part of the city’s Public Art Master Plan, which is meant to support local public art and culture. It also displays past public art projects and provides tools for local artists.

Ten microgrants of up to $1000 each will be awarded to local artists, organizations, and small businesses. All forms of artwork are eligible.

Applications for the grants will be accepted on a rolling basis until December 2. They will be reviewed by the Public Arts Subcommittee on November 15 and December 6.
