The 9-0 record is the best ever for an IU team.

Indiana University’s football team trailed in a game for the first time this season.

IU gave up points in the first quarter for the first time this season.

But after going down 10-0 at Michigan State on Saturday, the Hoosiers trampled the Spartans, 47-10, to improve their record to 9-0 -- best ever for an IU team.

Starting quarterback Kurtis Rourke, coming back from an injury, threw for four touchdowns.

Receiver Elijah Sarratt had two touchdowns.

“It was a pretty dominant win, really, 47 straight points on the road against, I think, a pretty good football team,” IU coach Curt Cignetti said.

IU’s next game is against Michigan on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
