IU Health is cutting 100 jobs statewide, mostly what it describes as “non-clinical leadership roles.”
IU Health Spokesperson Lisa Tellus said in an email that eliminating roles wasn’t the goal, and it isn’t a cost-cutting exercise. It’s part of IU Health’s transition to a new regional structure that it says will increase efficiency while improving patient care.

Currently IU Health divides its network into six regions. The new model will reduce it to four.
A press release last Friday said employees who lose their jobs will “ideally continue their career with IU Health by finding an open position,” but Tellus says the organization anticipates 100 separations.
IU Health employs 38,000 across Indiana.
