City of Bloomington Mayor Kerry Thomson will host three public engagement sessions in December to discuss city initiatives and engage with residents.

Mayor Kerry Thomson will host several public engagement sessions throughout December in Bloomington. The sessions will cover topics such as annexation, local initiatives, and resident feedback.

The first is a traveling town hall at 6 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Monroe County Public Library. Mayor Thomson and city council member Sydney Zulich will provide updates on city projects in an interactive forum.

The second session will focus on annexation at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at MCPL. Margie Rice, corporation counsel for the city, will help lead the session.

Both the town hall and annexation session will be available to view through Community Access Television Services.

On Dec. 10, Mayor Thomson will be at Mother Bear’s Pizza West for “travelling office hours”. Residents can book a 15-minute session for a one-on-one with Mayor Thomson on the city's website or by calling the mayor's office.

“Building a culture of openness and collaboration has always been my focus,” said Mayor Kerry Thomson in a press release. “I want every member of our community to feel invited, listened to, and confident that their input is valued. Making city government accessible and easy to engage with is key. These events are open to everyone and we welcome participation at any level.”
