While the start of 2025 marked a new beginning for some, parents Annabelle and Ben Craig had a new beginning of their own on New Year’s Day.
The Craigs welcomed baby Waylon Jan. 1 at Indiana University Health Bloomington, marking the hospital’s first baby of 2025. Waylon weighs 6 pounds, 1 ounce, is 19 inches long, according to the hospital.
“The IU Health team wishes the family well on their new addition,” the hospital said.
Waylon and other babies born Jan. 1, 2025, are the first of what some experts call Generation Beta.
