Meter parking is free throughout Bloomington, but that may not last much longer.
Desiree DeMolina, Communications Director for the Office of the Mayor, said the city waiving payments until at least this Sunday, due to heavy snow remaining around many meters.
She also stressed the importance of keeping parking spots empty as often as possible for snow-clearing teams.
The city will re-assess the situation Sunday to decide whether metered parking should return to normal operations.
