The Monroe County Community School Corporation is asking the community to become members of a Redistricting Study Commission.

In a press release Wednesday, MCCSC announced the commission and asked anyone interested to join, with a possible cap of 75 members.

Meetings are planned from 6 p.m. to 7:30 on April 2, 16, 23 and May 14 and 28. Because each meeting will build upon input from previous meetings, MCCSC is requesting commission members attend them all.

The redistricting aims to balance socio-economic status between schools and improve cost-effectiveness.

Applicants can fill out a form until March 28 to join the commission.
