Conservation officers investigating death of man at West Boggs Lake

The Department of Natural Resources said responders were dispatched around 6 p.m. Saturday. — The Department of Natural Resources said responders were dispatched around 7 p.m. Saturday.

The body of a 33-year-old Washington man was recovered from West Boggs Lake on Saturday.

Indiana Conservation Officers were sent to the lake just before 7 p.m. after a person reportedly went under water and did not resurface.

According to a DNR press release, divers recovered the body of Mitchell Worland at approximately 9:25 p.m.

Conservation officers continue to investigate the incident. They encourage the public to always wear a life jacket when on or around the water.
