WFIU 75th Anniversary Special: A Tribute To Menahem Pressler

Menahem Pressler
Jacobs School of Music educator and world-renowned pianist Menahem Pressler

For decades, one of the finest pianists in classical music performed and taught at the Jacobs School of Music, just down the street from WFIU.

Menahem Pressler was a founding member of the Beaux Arts Trio, an award-winning performer and chamber musician, and a faculty member at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music.

In celebration of WFIU’s 75th Anniversary, we are presenting a rebroadcast of a special tribute to the life and music of Menahem Pressler.

The program was created by Producer and Host Annie Corrigan, when she worked at WFIU.

A little more than a decade ago, Annie compiled moments from interviews—in which Pressler speaks about his love for the piano, for teaching, and for performing—as well as samples of Pressler's musical performances, some of which come from the archives of the Jacobs School.
