Advocating for the Environment as if our Future Depended upon it: A Conversation with Gina McCarthy

Advocating for the Environment as if our Future Depended upon it: A Conversation with Gina McCarthy

Concerned Scientists @IU, together with Advocates for Science @IU and the Environmental Law Society, is pleased to announce our first forum of the new year—a public event featuring former EPA Administrator and White House Climate Advisor Gina McCarthy—on Thursday, February 5 at IU’s Maurer School of Law.

McCarthy, who served as Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and as the nation’s first White House Climate Advisor, will speak to an Indiana University and Bloomington community audience. The talk, entitled, “Advocating for the Environment as if our Future Depended upon it: A Conversation with Gina McCarthy,” will take place on Thursday, February 5, at 5:00 PM in the IU Maurer School of Law’s Sherman Minton Moot Court Room (Baier Hall, 211 S. Indiana Ave., room 123). The talk is free and open to the public.

The event will include remarks by McCarthy, followed by informal conversation with IU’s Janet McCabe, former Deputy Administrator of the EPA and Director of the IU Environmental Resilience Institute. She is currently a Visiting Professor at both the McKinney School of Law at IU-Indianapolis and the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

Mark your calendars! (And please share widely.) We hope to see you there!
