In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said he discussed federal aid with Gov. Mike Braun over the phone. The aid is in response to severe flooding and tornados that have hit the state since the spring. A tornado touched down in Monroe County on May 16. Several homes and businesses were damaged.

The tornado also damaged homes in Brown County and Horsemen’s Camp in Brown County State Park. Heavy rain flooded several fields and roads.

Gov. Braun recently stated Indiana should examine its own emergency response in the wake of massive floods in Texas, which have killed dozens of people.
