Live From New York!

The Columbus Indiana Philharmonic led by David Bowden presents Live from New York!

Coming back to Columbus from East coast and national careers  are singing sisters Marja and Chasten Harmon.

Marja is the older sister and she spoke for the pair. "Columbus was a great place to grow up," said Harmon. "We both in school and with the Indianapolis Children's Choir, but we were three years apart and didn't really sing together then.  These days we're both working constantly. It seems that when Chaten's in New York, I'll be on tour and visa versa. This concert with the Phil' is really great because it's one of the few chances for us to sing together."

Marja and Chasten have picked special favorites for solos. "We wanted to do pieces from shows that we have recently been in so I picked something from The Lion King and she chose a piece from Les Miserables.  Then for the duets, we just picked songs that we thought would be so much fun to sing together with the orchestra."

In addition to the Harmon sisters, saxophonist Cam Collins will also be coming back to Columbus for duets and a focus on music of Charlie Parker.
