A Place For Film - Discussing The Burroughs Century

Episode 158 - Discussing The Burroughs Century

On this week's episode, we're discussing The Burroughs Century series, focusing on the writer William S. Burroughs. The series includes an academic symposium and a film series along with other events.  Joining us to discuss the series are James Paasche and Joan Hawkins, who are organizing the event.

We begin with What Have You Seen Lately, Jason is discussing Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer while Andy is talking about The Punk Singer and The Act of Killing.

We then discuss the Burroughs Century. James and Joan have a lot of events planned, including an academic symposium with discussions of Burrough's work, a gallery show of Burroughs paintings and a film series. Check out the Cinema web site for more information about film times and symposium events.
