A Place For Film - Discussing The IU Film Archives

Episode 133 - Discussing The IU Film Archives

On this week's episode, we're discussing the IU Film Archives with assistant archivist Andy Uhrich. Andy is also a grad student and is heavily involved in other Cinema events like Home Movie Day, and the Underground Film Series.

We start with What Have You Seen Lately. Jason is talking about Trainspotting, and Andy is covering a late Chaplin film along with the Indie Film Con.

We then chat with Andy Uhrich about the IU Film Archives. He discusses the content of the archive, the challenges of a film archive, how the archives are utilizing digital technology, and how the archive is reaching out to the public with Social Guidance Sundays.
