Episode 48 - Exploring The Midnight Movie Series
On this week's episode, we invite grad student David Church onto the podcast to talk about the Midnight Movie series. Midnight movies are new feature at the Cinema this year, and David is doing his dissertation in part on exploitation films, and helped Jon come up with the films that might be appropriate for the series.
We start off with What have you seen lately, and Jason is revisiting a movie from the early 90s: What Dreams May Come, while Andy gives general impressions of several different movies that he's seen.
After discussing upcoming film, David fills us in on the films in the Midnight Movie series, along with a bit of history on how these films were originally distributed, and why he suggested these films.
And because of the films in the series, we do discuss some more adult topics than we normally cover.
