A Cincinnati, Ohio company has recalled ready-to-eat salads that could be contaminated with salmonella.
Greencore, USA recalled 5.6 ounce plastic bowl containers of "Thornton's Quick Café's Chef Salad" sold at the convenience stores. They have an "Enjoy By" date of September 30, October 2 or October 3.
The recall affects stores in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee.
Grape tomatoes found in the salads are the subject of the recall. Pearson Foods notified Greencore of the possible tomato contamination September 28.
So far there are no reports of illness associated with the salads.
