CANDLES Co-founder Eva Moses Kor

What I discovered for myself was life-changing. I discovered that I had the power to forgive. [F]orgive your worst enemy. It will heal you inside. It will set you free.

In 1984 Kor co-founded the CANDLES organization (for "Children of Auschwitz Nazi Deadly Lab Experiments Survivors"), through which she located 122 other living Mengele twins, as the experiment survivors came to be known.

Kor founded the CANDLES Holocaust Museum and Education Center to educate the public about eugenics, the Holocaust, and the power of forgiveness. She is the subject of the documentary Forgiving Dr. Mengele.
