Music Educator Mary Goetze

Mary Goetze chairs the IU Music in General Studies department and conducts the International Vocal Ensemble, a chorus specializing in vocal music from the world's cultural traditions. She is founder of the University Children's Choir and is active as a composer, clinician, and guest conductor.

She co-founded the Mountain Lake Colloquium for Teachers of General Music Methods, and is in demand as a clinician in the U.S. and abroad, presenting regularly at national and international music education conferences.

Her publications include numerous arrangements and compositions for treble voices and Share the Music, a K-6 series book used widely throughout the United States.
