Jake Heggie is a contemporary classical composer of opera, vocal, orchestral, and chamber music.
His operas include Dead Man Walking, Moby-Dick, and The End of the Affair.
Heggie's latest opeara is It's a Wonderful Life, which had its collegiate premiere at the Musical Arts Center in Bloomington, presented by IU Opera Theater at the IU Jacobs School of Music.
As composer and pianist, he has collaborated with some of the world's most renowned singers including Kiri Te Kanawa and Renée Fleming.
