The Mother Line Story Project

I had the house to myself. . . . I knew I shouldn’t be in there. But I knew I was looking for something. I knew there was a secret in there. I knew the trespass was worth it. —Alice, a participant in the Mother Line Story Project

The Mother Line Story Project is a collective that invites women to explore the lives of their female ancestors. Participants write and perform two-minute monologues in the first-person voice of her mother, grandmother, and great-grandmothers, exploring their mother's lineage and promoting women’s voices.

Guests on the program include local authors Lisa Kwong and Maria Hamilton Abegunde, and Mother Line Story Project producers Eliza Martin-Simpson and Aubrey Seader.
