COVID-19 tests

In the IU Health South Central region, which includes Bedford, Bloomington, and Paoli, 75 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Friday.

In total, 24,774 county residents have tested positive since the pandemic began.

Between Jan. 13-19, more than 22 percent of people who took a COVID-19 test in Monroe County tested positive.

The state confirmed 10,164 new cases, up from 5,965 Monday.

The state also confirmed 5,965 new cases, bringing its total count since the pandemic began to 1,560,117.

The policy was approved by the commissioners Jan. 5 in response to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration's vaccine and testing standard.

In the IU Health South Central region, which includes Bedford, Bloomington, and Paoli, 66 people are hospitalized with COVID-19.
