In Indiana, there are at least over 400,000 individuals who are deaf and hard-of-hearing, according to the Indiana Association of the Deaf.

The IUPD dispatch center received 159 calls over the weekend, 29 more than in 2024.

The IU Police Department ordered an extended public safety advisory after receiving three separate reports of men interacting suspiciously with sorority applicants over the past week.

Emergency services barricaded the scene and brought the man to IU Hospital, according to publicly available dialogue on the police radio scanner.

The university’s new expressive activity policy came into effect Thursday. Police said they’ll clear the remaining items from the meadow, and protesters said they don’t plan to stop them.

Williams is lieutenant of operations at Northwest Missouri State University Police Department. He’s served there for 15 years, where he earned his bachelor’s and MBA.

IU the raises are not driven by the market in the home of its flagship campus, but the Bloomington police union says they exacerbate departmental challenges.

Collins is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.

Protesters set up more than a dozen tents in Dunn Meadow around 11 a.m. and plan to remain there until their demands are met.
