The University of Evansville says it has fired a theater professor who is accused of sexually harassing a student.
R. Scott Lank has been on leave during the fall semester. He has a right to appeal the decision.
A student says harassment by Lank forced her to leave the school earlier this year. Alexis Seay says he wrote a role for her in a play that required her to be nude. She accused him of unwanted touching and suggestive and racist remarks.
Lank has denied the allegations in a lawsuit filed earlier by Seay. The school says it investigated complaints and found that Lank's conduct "violated university policy."
The university says it's working with an outside group to prevent unacceptable behavior by staff.
