The Bloomington Craft Beer Festival is making a comeback after a one-year hiatus.

This will mark the eighth year of the event, which will be at the historic Woolery Mill in April.

Organizers couldn't put the event on last year because the Mill was under construction.

Brewers of Indiana Guild President and owner of Function Brewing Steven Llewellyn says the festival highlights local breweries across the state of Indiana.

"It really helps business in general. You can go see what different businesses are offering, you can go see what fun things they're doing," Llewellyn says. "You know, you can taste an IPA from Brewery A, B, C, and D, and, you know, see what you like and see what's out there."

The event is a fundraiser for the Brewers of Indiana Guild. The guild advocates for laws that foster brewer profitability, as well as promoting breweries across the state.

This year's Bloomington Craft Beer Festival will be April 20.

Llewellyn expects a crowd of more than a thousand will attend.
