A new wine shop will open on Bloomington’s near west side this summer.

D’Vines will sell bottles, but also feature a tasting room where people can sample different wines.

"What we’re aiming for is to have more variety," says Store Manager Sasha Divine. "We’re shooting for at least 30 wines or so by the glass so people will be able to come in and try really whatever they want."

The shop will be in one of the retail spaces at the new Ethos development at 3rd and Patterson.

Divine says he hopes the shop will make wine more accessible.

"We try to provide a wine experience for all of the people of Bloomington, focusing I guess on people who want to broaden their horizons and learn more about wine," Divine says.

The shop will also have a light food menu focusing mainly on meats and cheeses.

Divine says they hope to open in June.
