Rose-Hulman's Math, Science Tutoring Service Available

An Indiana college's free tutoring service that has helped thousands of middle and high school students for nearly 30 years is available again this school year.

The AskRose Homework Help program staffed by students from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute provides math and science tutoring.

Program director Susan Smith Roads says about 30 tutors are available each night to help guide students through homework troubles.

Rose-Hulman says math questions made up 76% of the programs some 31,000 tutoring sessions last school year.

The service is available 7-10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays most weeks of the school year. Students can call 877-ASK-ROSE or submit questions through its  AskRose.org website.

A $2.8 million Lilly Endowment grant awarded in 2017 is helping fund the program through next year.
