Bloomington Man Dead After Being Shot At Residence

An 18 year old Bloomington man is dead after being shot at a residence near  the 2500 block of S. Camden Drive. Officers responded to the incident Tuesday afternoon where attempts were made to revive Anthony Andrews, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Malik Parker was charged with Reckless Homicide and booked into the Monroe County Jail. According to the preliminary investigation, Parker was one among several individuals at the residence. A press release says Parker picked up a .22 caliber rifle owned by Andrews, commented on how heavy it was and pulled the trigger, striking Andrews in the neck.

Another individual at the residence called 911.

According to the press release, the group was smoking "shatter" while at the residence, a butane hash oil, which contains a high THC content.
