Monroe County officials will get a better idea of what the convention center expansion project could look like this week.
The advisory committee is scheduled to meet Tuesday and Friday to interview seven architects.
The committee's recommendation last year was for a $72 million project including a $37 million hotel financed by Indianapolis-based Sun Development. The other half would come from a one-percent food and beverage tax to fund the convention center expansion.
The advisory committee will make recommendations from this week's architect presentations to the county commissioners who will make any final decisions.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at Noon and Friday’s is at 9:00 a.m. Both are at the County Courthouse Nat U Hill Meeting room and are open to the public.
