The Paoli School Board will interview three finalists for the job of superintendent during an executive session meeting Monday night.
The school district’s been looking for someone to fill the role since former superintendent Casey Brewster resigned a year ago. The board had suspended him, claiming he was incompetent in the areas of academic progress and financial management.
They hired Gerald Jackson to serve as interim superintendent while searching for a replacement.
The board selected Jon Bennett to take over on June 1, but for unknown reasons that didn’t happen. That forced the district to re-advertise the position.
Jackson says the board could announce its pick for superintendent by the end of the week. He will continue to serve as interim superintendent until the new hire starts.
The school board recently approved a pay bump for Jackson, while only requiring him to work four days a week.
